When you focus on just one thing, it gets a result whether that be, finding the perfect holiday, de-cluttering your wardrobe, the only way to get a result in anything you do is to focus on one thing, and one thing only. There have been books written on this, so what happens when you start to focus on just one thing?
This is where the magic happens.

It doesn’t matter whether it is focused on exercise for health reasons or if you have a tele sales job, for instance, the more calls you make the more results you will get. So when it comes to selling your home, how have you invested?
People invest money into things to get a result, you may spend money on a new kitchen when you have your own home. You’ll spend the time to get it right so its style reflects your personality, so it fits your home and your life perfectly. You’ll invest time getting the colour scheme just right, everything from the handles to the pan drawer will be exactly how you want it. You’ll get oooo’s and ahhh’s as you show it off and be excited to entertain. Dinner parties and big family meals on special occasions will be where it makes its debut.
Why should I focus on it?
Equally, when you put your home on the market you have to still work at it to get it sold. We see many homeowners desperately wishing they could sell, wanting to see the results, needing to hit a certain amount of the asking price, yet have stopped caring about the home. They just sit and hope, waiting for that phone call with the next viewing, or perhaps that one piece of feedback that is positive. Hoping the results come on their own. If you are honest, how much time have you put into your sale this week? If you have put more than a couple of hours in and you’re still not selling we may need a call together, if not, why not?
So what can I do?
Here are some things you can invest time and a little money on that can make a difference on a number of viewings you get, to a number of brochure requests and even the amount someone offers you in the end. It’ll all be worth it. This isn’t an exhaustive list, but certainly a great starting point, we could think of over 100 ways to invest in the sale of your home.
Time – I’d recommend allocating a little time each week tending to some of these tasks, then you know that you are doing everything possible to get your home sold.
Money – While you don’t need a brand new kitchen or bathroom I would highly recommend you consider the list of monetary investments carefully. There are many things on this list and the list we have in the office that are a worthy investment. Spending just £500 on your home now could be a difference of an additional £5000 in some cases from the offers that you get. In some cases, it can be the difference between a sale and no sale at all. What can you do right now to move your sale along?
