Screened away from Ashton Road behind imposing stone walls, minutes’ walk from the historic City of Lancaster, lies Bank House – a Victorian gem of a property that has been buffed up to a sparkling 21st century shine.

Take a turn up the long driveway which leads to the rear of the house where there is ample room for parking. Secure behind a gate, this is the perfect place to house a classic car. To the front, a carpet of lawn, edged with mature towering trees; the quintessential formal match for your traditional mid-1800s home.

Standing on the shaded, covered veranda – the dreamiest spot to leaf through a favourite book on a hot summer’s day with a cool glass of still lemonade. Without further ado, push open the leaded, stained glass surrounded solid wood front door (a prelude for the beautifully crafted doors that run throughout) and emerge into the traditional Victorian hallway.

Victoria Loves
Bank House is the house I always dreamed I’d own. It’s picture perfect and has a very warm feel to it. It’s really inviting, I always feel like i want to pop on some slippers and a comfy jumper here. The home is filled with light, the beauty of it’s detached nature, and having two teenagers they’d adore the upstairs bedrooms.

Wile light fills every inch of this home, the dining room is the epitome of elegance. It’s classical feel is by far my favourite the simplicity of a bright home office would mean I could finally work at home close to those I love the most.

The garden really sells it though. I grew up where we had outhouses and buildings, it was always somewhere we’d huddle when we got a summer thunderstorm while we had a barbecue. The long days of sitting in the garage while the summer rain shower poured on us. It’s these memories that would make Bank House a true family home, the same as it has for it’s current family. Imagine having little ones who had their own den, then the squeal of laughter when you fill the tiny paddling pool on the grass. There’s so much outside space, it’s a home ready to be embraced by a loving new family to make so many more memories. Are you ready for the small memories you can start making?
